Wild Turkey, and not the kind you drink (at least since my college days!) are fast becoming a common site in California. This rafter (also known as a gang) of turkeys were in the Roseville area of California. Being very skittish, they move quickly and blend in very well with their surroundings.
Also this time of year are the early wild flowers, in this case a bulb called Dichelostemma capitatum (ok...common name.....) Blue Dicks.
They are very common in the foothills this time of year.
